Recently the Greek Welfare Centre had the opportunity to establish a Youth Program for youth in the Greek community aged between 12-25 years old. This will help address issues that occur amongst Greek youth.
The aim of the Program will be to develop competencies and self confidence in our youth and essentially provide them with the tools that will help them deal with the challenges and adversities that they will undoubtedly face in life. Our vision is to support our youth in teaching them how to reach their full potential and establish connections in the community. This will be achieved through activity based programs, education, training, and through the mentors that will support the programs.
Preliminary Activity Ideas
Drug & Alcohol awareness meetings
Problem Gambling awareness meetings
Maintaining Greek culture through various activities
