a) Greek Welfare Centre consumers have the right to:
• receive services in line with the Greek Welfare Centre’s philosophy and principles
• be respected as individuals with the right to have their dignity and privacy respected
• receive service to the satisfaction of their needs
• be offered comprehensive information that explains all options open to them
• choose options according to their own wishes
• complain about service provision using the steps outlined in the Centre’s policy on Grievance Procedures
b) Greek Welfare Centre consumers have the responsibility to:
• treat staff and other consumers with respect and free from harassment
• make decisions and take steps regarding their own welfare and well-being to the best of their ability
• provide accurate and relevant information regarding their needs
• understand that staff are working under pressure from a variety of sources and are not always able to respond to requests immediately
• to understand that staff work according to professional standards and should not be expected to operate outside these limits
• to pay any fees when due as outlined in specific program areas
