Who are we?

The Greek Meals Service is a program designed to assist the frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers, enabling them to remain in their own home, and often preventing premature admission to other forms of care.

The Greek Meals Service provides freshly cooked, cultural, well-balanced and nutritious 2 or 3 course meals in conjunction with invaluable social interaction delivered by our wonderful Volunteers. Delivery is throughout the Adelaide Metropolitan area.

What do the meals consist of?

The 2 or 3 course meal consists of a combination of a salad, soup, main course or dessert/fruit and accounts for approximately one third of an elderly person’s average daily nutritional and energy requirements.

We are able to cater for people with special or modified dietary requirements, such as those with diabetes, and can provide meals on a long or short term basis.

When are the meals delivered?

Delivery times are between 10:30am and 12.30pm Monday to Friday. Frozen/cold meals are available for weekends and public holidays. Please note 24 hours’ notice is required in the event of a meal cancellation.

How can I receive meals?

The Greek Meals Service is provided following a request from My Aged Care, your Home Care Package Provider, NDIS or privately. Once the referral is received by the Greek Welfare Centre, a Project Officer will visit the service user to assess their individual needs and organise the service. Subsidies are available for eligible recipients. Try our tasty meals today!
