As part of funding through the South Australian government’s Office for Ageing Well, the Greek Welfare Centre has, along with our other programs, the following groups to enhance the community’s ability to age well.

Computer/IT Classes

This popular and educational program has been designed to introduce people to computer basics at a beginners level, and build upon previous knowledge at an intermediate level. Topics covered include:

  • Introduction to computers
  • Setting up an email account
  • Use of the Internet to access online services
  • Social networking: Facebook and Skype
  • YouTube
  • Google Earth/Maps

English Classes

Designed to assist with the learning and comprehension of the English language and literacy skills.

Information Support

Providing information and support services that are available to enhance, maintain and promote ageing well for older South Australians such as My Aged Care.

The Greek Welfare Centre of SA is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Many of the Greek Welfare Centre’s services for the aged are supported by the Australian Government Department of Health under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, and our Ageing Well programs (including the St Philothei Community Network) by Office for Ageing Well | SA Health. Note that although funding for these services has been provided by the respective government departments, the material contained herein does not necessarily represent the views or policies of those governments.
