Social Seniors Bus Trip Excursion
May 31, 2021Loneliness is a part of the human condition that affects all ages, but particularly older people as experiences commonly associated with ageing, such as the loss of family and friends, result in seniors becoming socially isolated and lonely.
In accordance with the Orthodox Christian faith, the Greek Welfare Centre values the intrinsic worth of every human being and in the spirit of nurturing, love and respect for each other, provide a number of social support programs to combat the social isolation and loneliness amongst our community.
One of the social support programs we have available is our regular social group excursions, with this month’s outing taking the social group out for a day of fun and adventure as they toured through the Adelaide Hills to stop at Hahndorf for a stroll and snack, before setting off through Strathalbyn for a tour of the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula before stopping for a visit at Victor Harbor and lunch at Victor Harbor.
