Greek Meals Service Volunteers

GMS volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients in their homes, simultaneously providing invaluable social interaction which is imperative to the well-being of those in our community in need and often, the only contact they may have.

‘They so look forward to my visit…’

  • Do you have a few hours once a week or a fortnight?
  • Drive your own vehicle and receive a petrol reimbursement.
  • Must have Driver’s Licence and full comprehensive vehicle insurance.
  • A police clearance is required – at no cost to you.

Many of the Greek Welfare Centre’s services for the aged are supported by the Australian Government Department of Health under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, and our Ageing Well programs (including the St Philothei Community Network) by Office for Ageing Well | SA Health.
